PRAISE FLASH

I would be disobedient if I did not send this testimony of praise following our previous prayer letter.

God is good! All of the time!

We have signed a lease and put down a deposit and will be moving into a house just around the corner from where we are living now.

Griejtie and Caroline both agreed that it was perfect. It is in a secure complex with a swimming pool (which I don’t have to maintain!). It has artificial grass for lawn (so no lawn mowing!). It also has an extra room that we can use for hospitality. The rent was above what we could afford but God has provided someone who will make up the difference for six months while we raise the necessary extra support. The owner is a Christian and was excited to have Christians staying in her house. The house is available immediately and we’ll be moving in the first week of October.

A second praise point is that the Leadership Matters Course that Grietjie and I are helping teach is going well. There is a fantastic group of participants from 14 different countries. (Continue to pray as the LMC continues until the 29
th of Sept)

Thank you for praying!

Colin, for the family.

PRAYER FLASH

Please won’t you speak to our Father in heaven about some of the upcoming events in our lives:

1. LEADERSHIP MATTERS COURSE
13-29th September, North of Pretoria – Grietjie and Colin are trainers alongside 10 others training & mentoring 38 participants from 19 different countries and 11 different organisations. Pray for effective ministry and for Grietjie’s niece as she takes responsibility for Caroline and Colson while we’re away.
2. MINOR SURGERY
Colin goes in for a minor surgical procedure on Monday 1st October to have a Melanoma removed from his neck. Pray that the procedure would go smoothly and that Colin will be home by lunchtime as hoped for by the doctor.
3. MOVING HOUSE
Our landlords have sold the house we’ve been in for the last year and we need to be out by November at the latest. We have started to look for alternative rental accommodation but initial indications are that three bedroom houses are rented for about R8000 per month which is R2500 above what we can realistically afford at this point. Please pray for wisdom, God’s leading and His provision.
4. VISIT TO CAPE TOWN
20th Oct – 9th Nov we are planning to be in Cape Town for a combination of ministry, support raising, and holiday. Please pray for good opportunities and good rest.
5. PLANNING FOR 2013
Colin is hard at work in the planning process for 2013. Please pray for wisdom as he and his colleagues wrestle with priorities, strategies and budgets for the coming year.

Thank you again for your partnership in the Gospel. We simply could not do what we do without your prayers, love and support.

For the family
Colin
